We believe that publicly supported organizations should always let the public know where the money is being spent.We have been fortunate in that our overhead is very low.
To maintain transparency, the local Coordinator in Burkina Faso has signed an Agency Agreement with ROAD. She oversees all expenditures and provides an accounting to the Board of Directors. The Board has also implemented a policy to ensure transparency amongst its Members. As an example, the President and Vice-President who have signing authority cannot disburse any funds without prior approval of the Board.
